Josh (George) Meneses, originally from New Haven, Connecticut, raised in Hialeah, FL, and Alan Aghazadian from Manhasset, New York, together moved to Ft. Lauderdale in early 2011. Both in their early forties, lived and worked in Los Angeles in the film and television industry and have been a couple since 2000.
Alan, a freelance wardrobe stylist for twenty years and Josh, an I.T. expert with twenty three years of loyalty for a major multimedia company, both decided to live out their dreams, and open a pet resort facility in Wilton Manors, Florida, in August of 2011.
Although the two ventured into a new business, they both had twelve years experience between the two of them in the pet service industry. Josh, a graduate from the University of Miami, helped open a boarding and grooming facility in San Diego, California, called Canine Lodge in 2006. With his first location, now Mr. Meneses has brought the concept of cage free grooming and doggie day care and overnight boarding to South Florida and is catering to a level of professionalism and hospitality that our furry four-legged friends deserve.
Alan graduated with an Interior Design degree and spent his early professional life as an interior designer. His interests lead him to become a freelance fashion and wardrobe stylist and dress some of Hollywood’s elite. In 2000, in order to earn extra money, Mr. Aghazadian began working part time at a pet grooming and day care facility in West Hollywood, California called Pet Spa. Always having had pets himself and his experience at the Pet Spa, Alan discovered his passion for the pet service industry.

For your first visit of Daycare or Boarding with us, you’ll need to schedule a Temperament Assessment any weekday at 8am, or 10am Saturday or Sunday. We require three vaccinations for our canine guests: Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella. If the Bordetella vaccine has never been given or has lapsed in validity, it needs to be administered at least 5 days prior to your pet’s stay. Proof of vaccines must be submitted to us prior to your arrival. Dogs must be free from fleas – pets will be inspected upon check-in and if fleas are noticed on any pet, a mandatory flea bath will be required at owner/guardian’s expense. Dog must not have recently been exposed to any transmissible illness in the past 30 days prior to check-in for Daycare or Boarding. Dog should have his/her yearly fecal check.
Wilton’s Manor is a luxury Daycare, Boarding, and Grooming facility that offers nothing but the finest for the love of your life. Our indoor/outdoor dog park is suitable for the most distinguished dog around. If Fido does enjoy his special blankie or bed, you can bring it in for a Boarding stay, otherwise, we supply all bedding.
For our pint-sized dogs we have an indoor Daycare arena. For our mid and large dogs we have arenas indoors as well as outdoors, complete with doggie pool and plenty of shade, fans, and water misters for cooling on hot days. Wilton’s Manor offers two separate areas for our different sized pups. We want your love muffin to feed prior to visiting, as we do not feed dogs that are not Boarding. Puppies are exempt of course since they eat three meals a day.
Our Shuttle Service will come by your house or work and whisk away your pup to our doggie wonderland and back, there is a fee of course.
Who wouldn’t want to look extra special with all that fluffy hair? We offer nothing but the finest grooming at Wilton’s Manor. IT’S CAGE-FREE, ALWAYS! No amount of pampering is too much for our best friends. We only use high end pet grooming products, and you may bring your special shampoo if needed. All baths and grooms include ear cleaning, nail trims, as well as anal expression.

When you first check in to Wilton’s Manor, our staff goes through some basic info that will help us know what your pet’s likes and dislikes are. Then we introduce your pup to a few other like-minded pups, and see how they interact. An assessment normally takes a few minutes, and conducted M-F at 8am, or 10am Saturday or Sunday. Unfortunately no. A female in heat tends to stress out the boys, so Princess will need to stay home until she is spayed, sorry.
We only allow intact dogs until they are 1, or when they start showing signs of aggression.
We know sometimes plans change, so no advanced notice is needed…so you’ll be in the clear. For peak holiday times, however, there is a non-refundable prepayment charge at the time of booking.
Wilton’s Manor is open for business from 7am to 7pm Monday – Friday, 9am to 5pm Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays.
Wilton’s Manor staff are always on their toes looking out for changes in behavior. If need be, the owner is contacted immediately, and the pet is taken to our nearest veterinarian on call, Wilton Manors Animal Hospital.
